KENINGAU (Sabah Malaysia):
Jeffrey told members and supporters of STAR who came for the town Walk About
for Chinese New Year greeting here that it was time to say “yes” to change and
be no longer be afraid.
“Since a long time we
have been hoodwinked and pushed around to follow others,” said the Chairman of
STAR Sabah after the walk about town in which he was accompanied by more than
500 supporters. “Until now Sabah is still considered a fixed deposit by the
Federal Government to support its political power which is now becoming more
and more challenged.”
He said that if Sabah
continues to be a fixed deposit to the Federal Government, this actually means
Sabah has lost its political power. “It is as if the people of Sabah only
exists on paper and this situation is very sad. We cannot let this go on. We
have an identity, we have our power to decide the future,” he said to the loud
response of the large crowd which shouted back the party’s battlecry of “Ini
kalilah!”
The Vice Presiden of the SAPP, Datuk Frankie Chong who joined in the
walk about, also reminded the people that the 13th general election
is the last opportunity for the people to create change. “Actually we have the
capacity to do it, but we the people need to be brave, he said. “We shouldn’t
be cowered by threats and fear mongering by the BN leaders.”

While speaking with the
people at the Keningau central market, Jeffrey who was greeted by shouts told
the people that the political power of Sabah had been taken over by the PATAIs
(illegal immigrants with Ics) who are now given the power to vote. Her
said that in several constituencies in Sabah these votes by the second citizens
are higher than the votes of the locals. “That is the reason why the Feederal
Government is not happy with the calls for a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI)
on the illegqals in Sabah.” He said. “Are you all happy with the presence of
the PATAIs? If this problem is not solved, the people of Sabah stand to lose
everything.”
He
warned that if the people continue to be quiet about the problem, no one can
imagine what will happen to the future generation of Sabahans. “What I
have said is all for the purpose of calling you to join me in creating change,
and all this must be done seriousness and with hard work,” he said.
