KENINGAU (Sabah Malaysia): The
launching of the State Reform Party (STAR) for the Keningau parliamentary
constituency is to be held today here.
Organising Chairman for the event, Dr.
Nicholas Guntobon, announced that the venue for the event will be at the
Restoran Pelancongan, located by the Keningau-Tenom road about two kilometres
from Keningau town. “We will kick off at about 1.30 p.m.,” he said. “And we
invite all supporters and those wishing to hear the rationales for choosing STAR
which will be elaborated by our Chairman, Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan in his
speech.”
The Keningau launch is the fourth in the
series for district launches, after the Kota Marudu, Pitas, and Kota Belud.
Guntobon expects an especially large crowd considering the constituency is the
home ground of Jeffrey. “I wouldn’t be surprised if the attendance will be
higher than the 4,000 crowd at the party’s launch at Hongkod last month,” he
said.
